Notes Accompanying the Application and Nomination Form for Fellow Status

The International Society for Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM) is a multidisciplinary professional learned society dedicated to the development and recognition of Asset Management as an integrated and important body of knowledge.

The Society provides thought-leadership and influence on a global basis to coordinate the body of knowledge within academia, industry practitioners, and institutional policy makers in the emerging multi-disciplinary management of physical assets that make up our built environment.

Fellowship

The initial members of ISEAM are its Foundation Fellows. These persons have been granted the right to use the title of Foundation Fellow.

ISEAM is currently expanding its membership by recruiting additional Fellows. The Board shall only accept into the class of membership called “Fellow” people distinguished in the field of Engineering Asset Management. Distinction will usually be evidenced by significant and exemplary practical or professional accomplishments, experience and contribution to the body of knowledge in Engineering Asset Management.

  3. The use of the post-nominal, FISEAM.
  4. A 10% discount off the registration fees at each World Congress on Engineering Asset Management (WCEAM)
  5. 30% discount on related Springer publications

Application for Fellowship

Any two (2) Fellows may nominate a person for Fellowship of ISEAM and shall do so using the on-line Application and Nomination Form - Fellow.

Requirement of Application

Each application for the membership class of ‘Fellow’ shall be completed by the applicant and endorsed  by the proposer nominating the Fellow and the seconder.

Admission to Fellowship

The Board shall consider each application for Fellowship following receipt of the application together with a full Verifiable Curriculum Vitae (VCV) outlining achievements and experience in one or several disciplines related to engineering asset management.

It is normally expected that a grade of Fellow would only be conferred to applicants with demonstrated experience of not less 10 years and recognised as having achieved eminence in the field.

The Board may accept, reject or defer consideration of an application for Fellowship and shall inform the applicant of its decision in writing.

Joining Fee

Upon approval of the application the applicant shall be invoiced for an annual membership fee of AUD$200 or prorated thereof. Payment is required within 21 days of the invoice issue date.

Fellowship Rights

Voting rights of fellows

At a general meeting of ISEAM only Fellows, Ordinary Members and Corporate Members may vote and each such member has only one vote.

Election to Board

A Fellow may seek election to any position on the Board.
